During a visit to our facility, you will generally always been seen by the dentist, even if your primary appointment is with the hygienist. A dental hygienist cannot diagnose or treat most conditions. However, they will be responsible for helping to treat, clean, and remove build-up on the teeth and gums. If your hygienist detects areas of concern, they will bring it up to the dentist, and the dentist will also inspect and exam for any potential issues.
